Proposed Temporary Closure of

 

                                 Sections of Tallaght Village, Dublin 24                             

 

 

To facilitate the Community Department of South Dublin County Council to hold a St. Patrick’s Day Festival Event, South Dublin County Council propose to close the following:

 

Road Name:                         

 

On:                                         Monday 17th March 2026

 

Time of Closure:                10:00am to 5:00pm

 

Closure Detail:                    Traffic in Tallaght Village will be restricted on the

17th March for the St. Patricks Day Festival from 10am to 5pm. Road closures will be in place along Main Street/Old Blessington Road and on Greenhills Road from the Airton Road junction into Tallaght Village. Access to TUD campus will be closed from 10am to 2pm.

 

                       

Detour Route:                     Diversions in place from Greenhills Road along Airton Road and onto Belgard Road to access the N81. Old Bawn Road will be open from the N81 to access Westpark and Village Green.

 

 

-          Local access will be maintained.

-          24hr emergency access to be maintained at all times.

 

 

Any person interested may lodge an observation/submission in writing to the Senior Executive Officer, Land Use, Planning and Transportation, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 or by email to seoroads@sdublincoco.ie no later than 5pm on Monday 2nd March 2026.
