Roads Act 1993, Section 75

 

Proposed Temporary Closureof:                                 

 

Hazelhatch Road (R405), Co. Dublin

 

To facilitate the NTA Framework for Minor Works in conjunction with South Dublin County Council to carry out a junction upgrade at Hazelhatch Bridge on the R405 with associated civil works, South Dublin County Council propose to close a section of the following road:

 

 

Road Name:               Hazelhatch R405

                                  (from Celbridge to Newcastle)

 

From:                         Wednesday 21st August 2024           

                                   

To:                              Friday 23rd August 2024        

 

Time of Closure:        24h hours daily

                       

Detour Route:           

 

Travelling North to South:

For local access, two-way traffic will be maintained on Hazelhatch Road (R405) to Hazelhatch Bridge, with a Traffic Management Marshalling system.

 

All other traffic should use the R403 via Backweston, on to the N4, towards R120 via           Adamstown, and the R120 towards Newcastle, following the diversion signs.

 

Travelling South to North:

For local access, two-way traffic will be facilitated on Hazelhatch Road from Newcastle Road with a Traffic Management Marshalling system.

 

All other traffic should use the R120 Via Adamstown, N4, and R403 via Backweston to Celbridge, following the diversion signs.

 

Pedestrian access will be maintained on Hazelhatch Road at all times.

                       

Detour Length:      9km approx..
