Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2022

Irish Life Dublin Marathon intends to close roads to facilitate the Irish Dublin Marathon 2022:  Roads in SDCC area include Cromwelsfort Road, Fortfield Road, Orwell Road and Orwell Park.

Dublin City Council has made an order authorising the temporary closure of the roads.

On race day, Sunday 30th October 2022 from 08.45hrs to 16.45hrs, additional temporary road closures will take place along the Marathon route in Phoenix Park, Castleknock Road, College Road, Tower Road, Knock maroon Road, Inchicore Road, Drimnagh Road, Templeogue Road and Roebuck Road.

Traffic Management Plan

• South city traffic from Stillorgan Road wishing to access City Centre, will be diverted via Mount Merrion Avenue, Rock Road, Merrion Gates, Strand Road, Beach Road, Irishtown Road, Ringsend Road and Pearse Street.

• North city traffic from Finglas Road and Ballymun Road, wishing to access City Centre, will be diverted via Whitworth Road, Dorset Street and Gardiner Street.

• Traffic diversions will vary as the race proceeds.

• Pedestrian access will be maintained.
