Soccer is a fast paced sport which promotes cognitive, emotional and soccer development. Overall sport provides enjoyment and entertainment to the millions of participants and is often associated with fun, enjoyment and leisure. However, in recent years growing research and evidence has demonstrated that sport as a medium has a multitude of other tangible benefits that include health, community cohesiveness and education. Sport is also known to assist in minimising and overcoming social exclusion and can provide wider benefits for society as a whole.
South Dublin County Council is strongly involved in the promotion and development of sport and recreation for the benefit of our community. We are delighted to host this tournament and look forward to hosting many more for the enjoyment and well-being of our community.
