Proposed Traffic Calming Measures in Butterfield Residential Cell,
(Cell bounded by Ballyboden Road, Ballyroan Road and Butterfield Avenue)
Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed provision by South Dublin County Council of the above scheme and a description of the proposed works follows:
The proposed works consist of the following:
1. The provision of No Right Turn on Ballyboden Road at its junction with Fairbrook
Lawn between the hours of 7.30a.m and 9.30 a.m
The provision of No Left Turn on Ballyboden Road at its junction with Fairbrook
Lawn between the hours of 7.30 a.m and 9.30 a.m
The provision of No Right Turn on Ballyroan Road at its junction with Willowbank Drive
between the hours of 7.30 a.m. and 9.30a.m
2. The provision of a pedestrian crossing on Marian Road in the vicinity of its junction
with Pinewood Park
3. The provision of fourteen junction entrance ramps
4. The construction of five mini roundabouts
5. The provision of one junction table on Butterfield Park at its junction with Butterfield
Drive
6. The provision of four bus cushion ramps on Marian Road
7. The construction of a footpath on the eastern side of Washington Lane
8. The provision of seventeen (17) standard traffic calming ramps and
9. Associated Road Signage
Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at:
(a) South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
from 9.00am– 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am -4.30pm each Friday.
(b) Ballyroan Library, Orchardstown Avenue, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16
From 9.45 – 8.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.45 - 4.30pm Friday and Saturday
From Thursday 30th September 2004 – Friday 29th October 2004
Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing before 4.30pm on Friday 12th November 2004 to The Senior Executive Officer,Roads and Traffic Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre Tallaght, Dublin 24.
