Public Notice of
Proposed Traffic Calming Measures in Oldbawn Residential Cell, Tallaght. (Cell bounded by Old Bawn Road, Firhouse Road West, Whitestown Way and Tallaght By-Pass)
Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed provision by South Dublin County Council of the above scheme and a description of the proposed works follows:
The proposed works will consist of the following:
- The provision of (19) nineteen standard traffic calming ramps
- The provision of (4) four bus cushion ramps
- The provision of (6) six access junction ramps
- The construction of (6) mini roundabouts
- The construction of one chicane on Old Bawn Way
- The construction of kerb build outs at:
(a) Watergate/St Maelruans at its junction with Old Bawn Road
(b) Summerfield at its junction with Watermeadow Park
- The provision of a yellow box at Parkwood Road at its junction with Old Bawn Road
- The painting of speed limit signs (roundels) onto the road surface and
- Associated Road Signage
Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at :
(a) South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
from 9.00am– 12.45pm and 2.00pm–5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am-12.45pm and 2.00pm-4.30pm each Friday.
(b) County Library, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.
From 9.45am- 8.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.45am – 4.30pm Friday and Saturday.
From Thursday 8th April 2004 – Thursday 13th May 2004
Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing before 4.30pm on Friday 28th May 2004 to The Senior Executive Officer,Roads and Traffic Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre Tallaght, Dublin 24.
