Tallaght Town Centre

Proposed Local Area Plan

South Dublin County Council hereby gives notice that a Proposed Local Area Plan has been prepared for the Tallaght Town Centre area.

The Proposed Local Area Plan is a Masterplan to guide the future development of Tallaght Town Centre as the County Town and facilitate the development of the extended Town Centre. The Plan provides for the development of new streets, civic spaces and a park and a range of people intensive uses appropriate to a town centre based on high quality urban design. It includes a series of Local Framework Plans for each of 15 Precinct areas and also sets out phasing/sequencing and implementation methods.
The Proposed Tallaght Town Centre Local Area Plan will be displayed in public from 13th April 2006 to 24th May 2006 (inclusive) at the following locations and times (excluding Bank Holiday weekends):-

Main Foyer
South Dublin County Council
County Hall
Tallaght
9.00am-5.00pm Mondays – Thursdays
9.00am-4.30pm on Fridays

County Library
Tallaght Town Centre
9.45am-8.00pm Mondays – Thursdays and
9.45am-4.30pm Fridays and Saturdays

And 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the South Dublin County Council website's Tallaght Town Centre page. Please note that due to the size of the document access to a Broadband network is recommended.

A series of open days/evenings during which Planning Staff will be available to advise interested parties will be held in the Main Foyer, County Hall, Tallaght as follows:-

•   Tuesday 25th April, 11.00am to 8.00pm
•   Wednesday 3rd May, 11.00am to 8.00pm
•   Tuesday 9th May, 11.00am to 8.00pm
•   Tuesday 16th May 11.00am to 8.00pm

Submissions and observations may be made from Thursday 13TthApril, 2006 and up to   5pm Wednesday 24th May 2006 ). Submission must be marked Tallaght Town Centre Masterplan Submission and made either directly in writing:-

PLEASE NOTE:   Only submissions received by 5.00 p.m. on Wednesday 24th May 2006 and addressed as set out above will be considered. Submissions cannot be accepted in any other format or to any other postal address or email address.

A report with recommendations on all valid submissions or observations received will be prepared and presented to the Members of the County Council for their consideration.
