Public Notice of

 

Proposed Traffic Calming Measures on Ballycullen Drive and Ballycullen Avenue, Dublin 24.

 

Notice is hereby given of the proposed provision by South Dublin County Council of the above scheme and a description of the proposed works follows:

 

The proposed works will consist of the following:

Ballycullen Drive:

  1.  The provision of twelve (12) bus cushions
  2.  The construction of a roundabout at the junction of Ballycullen Drive/Carriglea Walk
  3.  The construction of four pedestrian islands
  4.  The provision of chevron hatching
  5.  The provision of right turn refuges
  6.  The painting of speed limit signs (roundels) onto the road surface and
  7.  Associated Road Signage

 

Ballycullen Avenue:

 

  1. The provision of ten (10) bus cushions
  2. The construction of two pedestrian islands
  3. The provision of chevron hatching
  4. The provision of right turn refuges
  5. The painting of speed limit signs (roundels) onto the road surface
  6. Provision of parking restrictions in the vicinity of the Church and Credit Union and
  7. Associated Road Signage

 

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection at:

(a)               South Dublin County Council Offices, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

from 9.00am– 12.45pm and 2.00pm–5.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.00am-12.45pm and 2.00pm-4.30pm each Friday.

 

(b)               County Library, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

From 9.45am- 8.00pm Monday to Thursday and from 9.45am –  4.30pm Friday and Saturday.

from Thursday 19th February 2004 – Friday 19th March 2004.

 

Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated may be made in writing before 4.30pm on Friday 2nd April 2004 to The Senior Executive Officer, Roads and Traffic Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre Tallaght, Dublin 24.
