Re: Temporary Closure of Grand Canal Access Roads, 12th Lock Clondalkin

 

 

In order to facilitate the carrying out of essential works on the Griffeen River Improvement Scheme Phase III (Grand Canal to Nangor Road),Clondalkin , Dublin 22 at Grange Castle Business Park, Clondalkin, South Dublin County Council proposes to temporarily close the Northern and Southern Access Roads at the Grand Canal from the 12th Lock at Newcastle Road Eastward for 250m to where the Northern Access Road meets with Hayden’s Lane, for a period of two months with effect from the 15th October, 2003 or as soon as practicable thereafter.

 

Alternative route is via Newcastle Road, Esker Road and Hayden’s Lane.

Diversion signs will be erected.

 

No vehicular/pedestrian access allowed in the interests of public safety.

 

Any person interested may lodge an objection , in writing, with the Senior Executive Officer, Roads Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24 not later than 4.00 p.m. on Monday 6th October,2003.
