Re: Temporary Closure of Grand Canal Access Roads, 12^th Lock Clondalkin

In order to facilitate the carrying out of essential works on the Griffeen River Improvement Scheme Phase III (Grand Canal to Nangor Road),Clondalkin , Dublin 22 at Grange Castle Business Park, Clondalkin, South Dublin County Council proposes to temporarily close the Northern and Southern Access Roads at the Grand Canal from the 12^th Lock at Newcastle Road Eastward for 250m to where the Northern Access Road meets with Hayden’s Lane, for a period of two months with effect from the 15^th October, 2003 or as soon as practicable thereafter.

Alternative route is via Newcastle Road, Esker Road and Hayden’s Lane.

Diversion signs will be erected.

No vehicular/pedestrian access allowed in the interests of public safety.

Any person interested may lodge an objection , in writing, with the Senior Executive Officer, Roads Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24 not later than 4.00 p.m. on Monday 6th October,2003.
