Exhibition of Artistic Works

Mayor Therese Ridge on behalf of South Dublin County Council will officially launch an exhibition by a local Kilnamanagh artist Sheelagh Duff in County Hall Tallaght on Monday 13th March at 7pm.

Sheelagh has taught as an art teacher for several years. She has also worked abroad in Greece and Switzerland where she held a one-man (women) exhibition. Sheelagh has been Commissioned by the Office of Public Works to do an “Illustrated Record of the Phoenix Park” 87-89 (140 pen and ink drawings). President Hillary used her drawings for Presidential Christmas Card in 1989  “City Gates to Aras”

She has also exhibited at the Royal Hospital, Kilmanham, now the Irish Museum of Modern Art. Her most recent showing of work include the Visitor Centre, Phoenix Park in April ’04 and Sept. ’05.

Her work includes oils, watercolours, pen and ink, portraiture, floral compositions, landscapes, and religious artwork – gold & silver embroidery.
