Mayor Ridge to Launch Balgaddy Art Exhibition

Mayor Therese Ridge on behalf of South Dublin County Council  will attend the launch of the Balgaddy Art Group in Lucan Library on Monday 6th March at 7.30pm.

The Balgaddy Art Group was set up  about 6 years ago, as a result of some ladies who met at a swimming club and discovered that they had a mutual interest in painting.They needed a venue to practice their art. One of the members, Sr. Mary, organised the venue which was the Community Centre attached to the church at Balgaddy. They have met there on Wednesdays ever since.
The paintings for the exhibition are a mixture of watercolours and oils .Some of the proceeds will go to the Presentation Missions abroad.
