Way clear for Stadium in Tallaght

On 13th February at the full Council meeting, South Dublin County Council voted in favour of the Manager’s Report to proceed with the completion of the Stadium at Whitestown Way, as a soccer stadium.

With the assistance of funding from the Department of Arts Sports and Tourism, this decision now opens the way to finalise the contractual negotiations with the building contractor for the completion of the Stadium.  

It is expected that the Stadium can now be completed within approximately 9 months and will be available as a home base for Shamrock Rovers F.C. for the 2007 season.
