Mayor Therese Ridge, South Dublin County Council, officially launched South Dublin County Tourism at the Lynch Green Isle Hotel on Monday 16th January 2006 in the presence of An Tanaiste, Minister for Health & Children, Mary Harney TD.
South Dublin County is about to be put firmly on the map as a leading tourist destination with the official launch of the company. Monday 16th also marked the launch of our new brochure, county tourist map and a website.
‘This is an exciting project with the potential to deliver substantial returns to our members. Our board reflects the strength and vibrancy of this young county and their enthusiasm in driving the company will yield results’ said David Kennedy, Chairperson South Dublin County Tourism.
South Dublin County has so much to offer tourists for business and pleasure. ‘A fantastic selection of attractions, facilities and activities is available to the visitor and South Dublin County’s position makes it a perfect venue for conference, golfing, shopping and leisure visits’ said Marguerite Osborne, Tourism Executive
