THE SIGNING OF THE CONTRACT FOR SWIMMING POOL AND SPORTS HALL AT CLONDALKIN, WILL TAKE PLACE AT COUNTY HALL ON TUESDAY 20TH NOVEMBER, 2005 AT 2.30PM
The project consists of an extension to the existing Clondalkin Sports and Leisure Centre, comprising a new 25 Meter Pool Facility, complete with changing village, gym studios and café, retail units and improved changing facilities to the existing Sports Hall and Leisure Centre and the provision of external changing rooms, additional car parking, associated landscaping and site works.
This will be a first class facility, which will be delivered with minimal effect on the environment, placing emphasis on usability, sustainability and value for money Sustainable Energy Ireland are providing grant funding for what will be on it’s completion, the largest solar project in Ireland. Using ‘state-of-the-art’ technologies along with engineering expertise, Clondalkin Pool will stand out as one of the most energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly facilities of its kind, not only in Ireland but throughout the world.
The duration of the project on site will be approximately 18 months.
