Mayor Therese Ridge will Launch the Tallaght Photographic Society Annual International Photographic Exhibition and Competition on Tuesday 15th November at 7pm in the concourse of County Hall.

Tallaght Photographic Society Annual photographic exhibition and competition is one of the most longstanding photographic competitions in the county. Now in its fifteenth year, the competition has over four entries all of which will be on display at County Hall, Tallaght for two weeks Tuesday 15th November. The club which was founded in 1974 is now based in its own premises in Castle Park Estate, Tallaght.

 

 

Activities of the society include lectures, demonstrations and workshops during the winter months.  Then during the long and light summer months the members organise outings during the week and weekends. 

 

 

Tallaght Photographic Society encourages the participation of beginners and advanced level photographers, and caters for both through classes and workshops while welcomes new members.

 

 

There are three categories in the competition: Open Colour, Black & White and Slides.  Three prizes will be awarded in each category.  A gold medal will be awarded for the best sports photograph and a sculpture for the best overall winner.
