CLONDALKIN CAMERA CLUB

 

ANNUAL PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION

Mayor Therese Ridge on behalf on South Dublin County Council will officially launch the Clondalkin Camera Club Annual Photographic Exhibition at Civic Offices, Clondalkin Civic Centre, Clondalkin, Dublin 22, on Thursday September 8th 2005 at 7.30pm.

Clondalkin Camera Club, since it’s foundation in 1988, has firmly established itself as one of the most active local amateur photography groups in the Dublin region and nationally.  It caters for photographers of all levels from beginner to advanced, providing a variety of services, information, advice and support, and new membership is always welcome.  Activities of the club include classes, lectures, demonstrations, workshops, organised outings and monthly competitions.  Classes start in September to encourage new members.

This  annual exhibition comprises of an exciting and diverse collection of photographic work by club members.  The black and white and colour photographs on display will showcase both traditional and digital photographic practice and will be wide ranging in subject matter to include landscapes, nature, sports, still life, portraits and more abstract images. 

       A special feature of this years exhibition will be a display of ‘ South Dublin Parks

                                           during the Summer Months.’ 

Many of the photographs will be for sale and would make ideal Christmas presents.

The exhibition will remain on display in Civic Offices, Clondalkin, Mon-Fri 9.30am-4.00pm, until Friday 23^rd September 2005.
