The arrangement will concentrate on capacity building measures in areas of activity with which the Council has an ongoing involvement and expertise such as town planning, drainage and general corporate governance.
The package of activities envisage a multi-layered approach involving elements of direct financial assistance, skills transfer, equipment provision, promotion of models of best practice, e-Enabling, encouraging and facilitating of specific local studies involving a mix of South Dublin County Council staff / staff of the Ethiopian local authorities / locally recruited project staff / consultants and finally but importantly exchanges on a cultural level.
