Mayor Robert Dowds Presents Certificates To Spoirt Teic Graduates 2005 on Thursday 23rd June 2005 at 6.30p.m. in
Spoirt Teic is a FAS Community Training Programme sponsored by South Dublin County Council which annually provides training and qualifications in Fitness Instruction, Sports Coaching & Recreational Leadership to 20 young people from the South Dublin County Council administrative area.
The Spoirt Teic graduates will be receiving two Diploma level awards from the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) in Gym Instruction and Aerobic Exercise Instruction. They will also receive IWS and FETAC Pool Lifeguard Award and a number of Sports Coaching Certificates to include Badminton, Soccer, Gaelic Football, Hurling and Basketball from sports national governing bodies and NCTC.
Some of the course graduates have already secured employment within the health and leisure industry and will commence employment at the end of June. Over the Summer months, FAS will be recruiting for the next Spoirt Teic course, which will commence in September 2005. All interested applicants should go to their local FAS employment office and register for course BA57A.
