Galway - Dublin marathon attempt

- A team of Irish Air Corps personnel are planning an attempt to run from Galway to Dublin in relay on the 21 June 2005 in aid of four Irish charities. 

- There will only be 1 (one) person running at any one time. 

- A Ford Transit van will be driving behind the runner. 

- Both the runner and the Transit will be on the hard shoulder at all times. 

- It is expected to enter the South Dublin County Council area at approx 1800hrs just after Leixlip, and to cross the N4 at Lucan and continue on the minor road to finish at Baldonnel. 

- Due to only 1 person running and 1 Transit following on hard shoulders it is not envisaged that there will be any traffic disruptions. 

- Garda Traffic Division have been informed of the plan.
