Launch of Comhairle na nOg report

Mayor Robert Dowds on behalf of South Dublin County Council will officially launch the report from the Comhairle na nOg Young Voices Seminar 2004 on 15^th March in the Council Chambers County Hall Tallaght.

The report highlights the results from workshop sessions, which focussed on some of the important issues affecting the lives of young people today. The seminar gave participants a chance to engage with their peers and become informed of the varying views that existed.

The topics discussed were

1.     Racism and Discrimination

2.     Drugs and Alcohol

3.     Young People and the Gardái

4.     Youth Facilities for Young People

5.     Young People and the Environment

The ideas and opinions that are recorded in the report give a flavour of how productive,enthusiastic and real, young people’s contributions are on the pressing issues of our times.

The report will be an invaluable resource for the newly elected members of the Comhairle na nÓg when identifying their projects and interests to progress.
