Recycling of Christmas Trees - 2005
From Thursday 6th January 2005, householders are invited to bring their Christmas Trees to the following locations (look out for signage) throughout the county and have them recycled.
Alternatively, it would help us greatly if the public could bring the trees directly to the Green Waste Recycling Centre at Esker Lane in Lucan also open on Sunday the 9th and 16th January 2005 - 10am to 4pm.
The trees will be put through a woodchipper and the resulting material will be spread as a mulch to assist in weed control around trees and shrubberies in parks and open spaces.
Recycling also means a reduction in the volume of material that goes to landfill sites.
