An Tánaiste Mary Harney TD,Minister for Health and Children will present The Excellence Through People Award to South Dublin County Council in County Hall Tallaght on Friday 3rd December at 2.30pm
Excellence Through People is the National Standard for Human Resources Development. It is an independent accreditation awarded by FAS to organisations in recognition of their commitment to the Training and Development of their staff.
South Dublin County Council applied for the award in April, following which FAS assessors visited the organisation and critically assessed the Council under the following criteria:
§ Review of Organisational Aims & Objectives
§ Preparation of Organisational Training Plans
§ Review of Training
§ Implementation of Training
§ Training & Development Records
§ Employee Communications and Involvement
The assessors then submitted a report to the approval board, which included members of ICTU and IBEC for consideration. The board deemed our application to be successful awarding a mark of 88% in recognition of the high standards operating within the Council which employs 1500 staff.
South Dublin County Council are committed to maintaining and improving our staff levels of expertise to ensure they are equipped to deliver our services to our customers in an efficient and effective manner.
