Mayor Robert Dowds will officially launch the merger of Chariot Mobility and ACTS, on Tuesday 16th November 2004 at 12 noon.
Chariot Mobility was started nearly three years ago by the KWCD Partnership to provide a door to door service for people with mobility problems, who could not access the usual transport services. Tallaght and Clondalkin Partnership joined the Board of Charity Mobility last year.
The Chariot Board decided to approach ACTS (Accessible Community Transport Southside) another social economy project based in Rathfarnham providing a similar type service, with a view to merging the two projects.
