Monday 24th May
South Dublin County Council
County Hall
Tallaght
Dublin 24
Tallaght photographic society, founded in 1974 is one of the most active local photography groups in South Dublin County. The Photographic society operates from a premises in Bancroft, Tallaght, the procurement of which was financially assisted by South Dublin County Council, and which is encouraging the expansion of the society’s activities and events.
It is very important to note that this is in fact an International photographic competition, which accesses and encourages submissions from photographers from all over the world through all the new technologies of email and internet.
Activities of the society include lectures, demonstrations and workshops during the winter months. Then during the long and light summer months the members organise outings during the week and weekends.
The Tallaght Photographic Society encourages the participation of beginners and advanced level photographers, and caters for both through classes and workshops while also encouraging new membership.
