South Dublin - A decade of Delivery
South Dublin County is Ten Years old and this year is celebrating a decade of delivery of over 140 services to the public. Since 1994 a transformation has taken place in terms of built infrastructure and community facilities that have been provided throughout South Dublin County.
Economic development and community initiatives have and will continue to bring about a better quality of life for all our residents and customers and this is a commitment that the Council gives for the next ten years and beyond.
To celebrate the year a huge number of events have been planned – from Carnivals and music events, competitions and community awards, sports, family days and intercultural events are all happening.
Check out what ‘s on near you on our event page on http://www.southdublin.ie/ or get a list from County Hall Tallaght or the Civic Centre Clondalkin. Tel 4149000.
Today Mayor Maire Ardagh launched a history of South Dublin “ A Decade of Delivery “a photographic history of the development of our County since 1994. The exhibition represents every development from Community and Local level to major infrastructure. A cross section of people and celebrations, photos taken at over 500 different locations and events throughout the ten years should interest all who live, work or enjoy the resources and facilities of our County.
The exhibition will tour the County, from Rathcoole to Rathfarnham, from Palmerstown to the mountains, to give as many people as possible an opportunity to see how the County has developed to date. The exhibition will be available also as a multi media presentation on the Council’s website http://www.southdublin.ie/.
We hope that you will find it interesting.
The current venue list is attached, more are being added on a weekly basis, any local group or agency with a facility to accommodate the exhibition is invited to contact Corporate Services Department at Tel 4149285.
Fact sheets are available on demand – Talk to us at Tel 4149285
