10 years celebration of South Dublin County Council- probably one of the biggest events of the year.

Over 750 people packed into the central mall of the square and the balconies at the next level

Manager Joe Horan and Mayor Maire Ardagh both there -

we are very proud of the success of this group of young people, who are all from our County. They have  worked hard and are extremely talented musicians and singers. The recognition and attention that they have begun to receive through TV and Radio is well deserved and the Council is delighted to have an opportunity to have them play in their own home county. It is appropriate that they will play here in advance of their next major show in the Point Theatre on May

Excellent location for events of this type Director of The Square Eamon Furlong delighted with the success of the night - " lot of preparation went into the evening - building the huge backdrop, Elvis in lights with life size figure unveiled at the beginnning of the concert- special attention light and sound

Teams of volunteers from SDCC worked in partnership with Square staff to present the show

All 15 of the Elvis group from South Dublin County-  most from Lucan ( including Kevin Doyle who sings as Elvis ) and they have been playing together since they were children.

They are beginning to be recognised - no. of TV appearances, performed at the Olympia, Gaiety, Tivoli, - next at the point on 29th May
