Third Annual Leo Swan Memorial Lecture
'The Bend of the Boyne'

The County Library, Tallaght Tuesday 14th October 2003 at 8:00pm.
The Third Annual Leo Swan Memorial Lecture takes place in the County Library Tallaght on Tuesday 14th October 2003..This lecture is an annual event on the archaeological theme covering the South Dublin County area .The lecture entitled 'The Bend of the Boyne' will be given by Geraldine Stout an eminent archaeologist who has assisted on excavations at Knowth and Newgrange and has undertaken postgraduate and doctoral research on the Boyne Valley.
Leo Swan had a long association with the Tallaght Area. His most notable contributions have been as Principal of Our Lady of Loreto Primary School during the 1970s and 1980s and as founder member of the Tallaght Historical Society.
The lecture coincides with the monthly meeting of Tallaght Historical Society Society and many of their members together with Leo Swan's family and former colleagues will be in attendance.
