Winner of Engineers Week 2014

South Dublin County Council, in collaboration with Engineers Ireland held events for 1600 local primary and secondary school students at various locations around Tallaght Town Centre during February. Our partners in these events were Tallaght IT and local businesses PM Group, Vilicom, and Xilinx.

One of these events was a competition about engineering held during Engineers Week at The Square Shopping Centre. The prize was an iPad Air for the winning student’s school.

We are pleased to announce that the student who won the competition for her school wasThelmar Chanakira, a 5th Class pupil at Scoil Maelruain’s Senior National School in Old Bawn.

On behalf of out partners and ourselves, we would like to congratulate Thelmar and Scoil Maeilruain on their win!!!
