Proposed Development by South Dublin County Council

Pursuant to the above, notice is hereby given of the proposed scheme:

The upgrade of the existing waste water pumping station at Lucan Spa, including the widening of the entrance, the erection of a new steel platform at entrance to for access and maintenance purposes and the building of an extension to facilitate the installation of a new back-up electrical generator. The back-up generator will replace / negate the need for the use of a by pass pump during ESB phase failure.

The proposed works comprise:

Construction of an new concrete plinth to facilitate the installation of a new Back-Up Electrical Generator,

Widening of the current entrance and erection of a steel platform and access steps at the entrance (within the current site boundary) and

Associated works, painting, fencing and landscaping.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection from March 2nd 2009 to March 27th 2009 (inclusive) at the following locations:-

South Dublin County Council Concourse, County Hall, Tallaght

  • 9.00am-5.00pm Monday-Thursday and 9.00am-4.30pm on Friday

South Dublin County Council Concourse, Civic Centre, Clondalkin

  • 9.00am-1.00pm and 2.00pm-4.00pm Monday-Friday

Lucan Library, Superquinn Shopping Centre, Newcastle Road, Lucan

  • 9.45am-8.00pm Monday-Thursday and 9.45am-4.30pm Fridays and Saturdays

Details of the proposed development will also be available on the Environmental Services section of the Councils website www.southdublin.ie from June 30th 2008.

Submissions or observations in relation to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area, in which the development would be situated, may be made in writing to:

The closing date for receipt of submissions or observations is up to and including 4.30pm on Friday 10th April 2009

Pursuant to Part 10 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 notice is hereby given of the intention to upgrade / renovate the existing waste water pumping station at Lucan Spa, including the widening of the entrance, the erection of a new steel platform at entrance for access and maintenance purposes and the building of an extension to facilitate the installation of a new back-up generator.

The proposed works encompass construction of an new concrete plinth to facilitate the installation of a new back-up electrical generator, widening the current entrance and erection of a steel platform and access steps at the entrance (within the current site boundary) and all associated works, painting, fencing and landscaping.

With reference to above, I enclose copies of plans and particulars relating to the proposed development for your information.
