Leasing of Property for Social Housing Purposes

South Dublin County Council is about to commence a programme of taking leases of suitable residential property for occupation by its social housing applicants.

All types and sizes of dwellings are required in all areas of the county.

Leases will be for a minimum period of 10 years and a maximum period of 20 years.

Management and maintenance of and insurances on the leased properties will be the responsibility of the Council.

Expressions of interest are invited from property owners, builders, developers and agents.

Send an expression of interest with a brief description of the properties including type (apartment/house/duplex etc), capacity (number of bed spaces), and setting out the quantity and location of the dwellings -

Submissions should be marked “Leasing Project”.

Any queries or requests for clarification should be emailed to the same email address.

The specific terms and conditions of lease arrangements will be a matter for negotiation between the owner and the Council.
