South Dublin Libraries celebrates Science Week 2008

South Dublin County Council Library Service and the IT Tallaght have got together to celebrate Science Week 2008. The theme for Science Week Ireland 2008 is 'Science Shaping Our World'
Events take place in libraries throughout the County and include lunchtime and evening talks on topics ranging from renewable energy, computer gaming, photos to x-rays and the science of forensics.
On Monday 10th November at 7.30 in the County Library, Prof Hilary Humphreys Professor of Clinical Microbiology at the Royal College
of Surgeons in Ireland and Consultant Microbiologist at
Beaumont Hospital Dublin will give a talk on - Hospital Infections:
Why do they occur and what can we do about them?
Science Week is coordinated by the Discover Science & Engineering (DSE) programme and its aim is to promote the relevance of science to our everyday lives and increase interest in science, technology and innovation among students and members of the public.
