Public Notice of

WHITECHURCH ROAD

PROPOSED TRAFFIC CALMING SCHEME

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given of the following proposed scheme:

Traffic Calming Measures on Whitechurch Road between Ballyboden Road Junction and the M50 underpass.

The proposed works comprise:

  • Traffic Calming Platforms
  • 3 tonne limit Zone on Whitechurch Road between Ballyboden Road junction and Taylors Lane Junction, and on Grange Park, St. Endas Drive, St.Patricks Cottages and Sarah Curran Avenue.
  • Traffic Signals at the junction of Whitechurch R oad and Sarah Curran Avenue.
  • Signalised Pedestrian Crossing on Whitechurch Road at St Patricks Cottages.
  • Periodic Speed Control (30kph) on Whitechurch R oad in the vicinity of Whitechurch National School.
  • 30kph speed limit on Whitechurch Road between Sarah Curran Avenue and St Endas Park.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development are available for inspection or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, at:-

South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24, between the hours of 9:00am 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00am 4:30pm Friday (inspection and purchase)

South Dublin County Council, County Library, County Hall, Tallaght Dublin 24, between the hours of 9:45am 8:00pm Monday to Thursday and 9:45am 4:30pm Friday and Saturday (inspection only)

Whitechurch Library, Taylors Lane, Dublin 16, between the hours of 2pm 5pm and 6pm 8pm Tuesday and Thursday, 10am-1pm and 2pm 5pm Wednesday, closed Monday and Friday (inspection only)

From Wednesday 24th September 2008 to Friday 7th November 2008

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed works, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area, in which the development would be situated, may be made in writing to:-

Closing date for receipt of submissions is 4:30pm on Friday 21st November, 2008
