NOTICE OF PROPOSED VARIATION OF
SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2004 - 2010
‘GOLF VILLAGE’, FORTUNESTOWN LANE, SAGGART (VARIATION NO. 5)
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 13 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) thatat its meetinon 14th January 2008 South Dublin County Councilagreedto initiate a Variation of the South Dublin County Development Plan 2004 - 2010 in accordance with Section 13 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) in respect of lands at Fortunestown Lane, Saggart, Co. Dublin.
It is proposed to vary the South Dublin County Development Plan 2004 – 2010 in the following manner.
Development Plan Maps
Amend Development Plan Map No. 3 and rezone the areaknown as the "Golf Village"from zoning Objective ‘GB’ “To preserve a ‘Green Belt’ between development areas†to Objective ‘LC’ “To protect, provide for and/or improve ‘Local Centre’ facilities.â€
Written Statement
Inserta new Specific Local Objective No. 125 - Golf Village, Fortunestown Lane, Saggart.
“It is an objective of the Council to facilitate;
a)An increase in Class 1 retail space by way of mezzanine floors
b)Change of use from Class 2 and 4 uses to Class1 retail use
c)The reduction in size of permitted restaurant areas
d)Other minor adjustments to the buildings known as the “Golf Villageâ€, Fortunestown Lane
And ensure that these future developments do not alter the footprint of these buildings as permitted under Register Reference S02A/0096.â€
The reason for the Variation would be to allow future development in accordance with (a) to (d) above in the buildings on site.
In complying with the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations, 2004, South Dublin County Council has determined that a Strategic Environmental Assessment is not required.
Details of the proposed Variation and the SEA Screening Reportmay be inspected from 29th February 2008 until the 28th March 2008 at the following locations:
- Planning Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24: 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9.00 to 4.30 p.m. Friday
- South Dublin County Council, Civic Centre, Clondalkin, Dublin 22: 10.00 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. Monday to Friday
- Local Branch Libraries at Ballyroan, Castletymon, Whitechurch, Clondalkin and Lucan, during normal opening hours for each Branch Library.
