Regulations 2001 (Part VIII)

Proposed construction of new changing room facilities and car park, relocation of tennis courts, re-orientation of playing pitches, and landscape improvement works at Oldbawn Weir, Dodder Valley Park, Oldbawn, Tallaght. Dublin 24.

Pursuant to the above, notice is hereby given that it is proposed to construct new changing room facilities at the Dodder Valley Park, Oldbawn to replace the existing containers currently in use by sports clubs who utilise the sports pitches in the park.

The proposal also includes the development of a public car park with access off the Oldbawn Road to provide parking for all users of the park. To enable greater security and management of the tennis court facility, it is proposed to relocate the existing tennis court facilities to a securely fenced enclosure alongside the proposed changing facilities which will also be available to users of the tennis courts and will incorporate a storage area for tennis equipment etc. These proposals will entail the re-orientation of the existing playing pitches and the construction of some new pedestrian paths.

In addition, it is proposed to undertake landscape improvement works in and around the Oldbawn Weir on the River Dodder to enhance its accessibility and amenity value as a key feature of the Dodder Valley Park. The proposed landscape improvement works will include the development of landscaped viewing areas on either side linked by a pedestrian bridge over the river. This proposal will also include new pedestrian path connections and soft landscaping detail.

Plans and particulars of this proposed development will be on display from the 23rd January 2008 until the 29th February 2008 at the following location:
