Arrangements for Christmas Tree Recycling

From Monday 7th January 2008, the public are invited to bring their Christmas Trees to the following locations throughout the county and have them recycled.
Alternatively, it would preferable if the public could bring the trees direct to the Green Waste Recycling Facility at Esker Lane in Lucan. The trees will be put through a woodchipper and the resulting material will be spread as a mulch to assist in weed control around trees and shrubberies in parks and open spaces.
Recycling also means a reduction in the volume of material that goes to landfill sites.
Please note that only one Christmas tree per vehicle will be accepted free of charge.

The Green Waste Centre at Esker Lane in Lucan will be closed with effect from the 24th December 2007 and will reopen on Wednesday the 2nd January 2008
