South Dublin Mayor Billy Gogarty welcomes provisions in the Council Budget 2008 relating to waste charges

At the opening of the Council meeting to consider the Budget for 2008 on Thursday 20th December 2007, Mayor Billy Gogarty welcomed the budgeted expenditure of 284.28m as a huge investment in the running and improvement of the county for the coming year.

Mayor Gogarty said  I am particularly pleased that South Dublin County Council is not introducing an additional flat-rate charge for domestic waste collection and that there has been no increase in  bin-lift charge which remain the same as this year at 8 for the large bin and 4 for the smaller one.
