The Childrens Book Festival is one of Irelands biggest arts festivals, with over 1,000 free events taking place to celebrate childrens books happening nationwide in bookshops, libraries, schools, community and arts centres.

Below please find details of events taking place in South Dublin County Libraries.

The festival will be launched by Mayor Billy Gogarty in Castletymon Library on Wednesday 3^rd October at 11am. Guest of Honour will be Mary Kingston, children's television presenter and philanthropist. She is the current presenter of The Disney Club on RT Two. Entertainment will include a Magic Show with the Wizard of Oz, Dorothy, the Cowardly Lion and the Good Witch. We hope you enjoy this years festival!
