Proposed Clonburris Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) Planning Scheme and Local Area Plan
New notice extending the period during which submissions may be made*
South Dublin County Council, being the Development Agency for the Clonburris Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) and the Planning Authority for the area, has prepared a Proposed SDZ Planning Scheme and proposes to make a Local Area Plan (LAP) for lands located between Lucan and Clondalkin at Clonburris.
The Proposed Strategic Development Zone Planning Scheme and Local Area Plan sets out a framework for a sustainable new urban district at Clonburris and to guide the future development of the lands at this location. South Dublin County Council has prepared an Environmental Report in accordance with SEA Directive (2001/42/EC) and the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004.
Further to notice given pursuant to Section 169 and Section 20 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2006, new notice is given extending the period during which the SDZ Planning Scheme and Local Area Plan will be available for inspection and during which submissions may be made.
*Note: This is due to a printing error, whereby a table detailing development parameters in the Kishoge Cross Local Area Plan neighbourhood was not included on page 84 of the Planning Scheme/Local Area Plan document. This error is rectified on all copies of the document including those displayed in public, from 30 August 2007 and corrections have been issued to all statutory consultees and other interested parties.
The period during which copies of the Proposed Clonburris SDZ Planning Scheme, Local Area Plan, and Environmental Report is available for inspection is to 15th October 2007 at the following locations:-
Main Foyer, County Hall, Tallaght
- 9.00am-5.00pm Monday-Thursday and 9.00am-4.30pm on Fridays
Main Foyer, Civic Centre, Clondalkin
- 9.00am-1.00pm and 2.00pm-4.00pm Monday-Friday
Lucan Library, Superquinn Shopping Centre, Newcastle Road, Lucan
- 9.45am-8.00pm Monday-Thursday and 9.45am-4.30pm Fridays and Saturdays
The proposed SDZ Planning Scheme, Local Area Plan and Environmental Report are also available on www.clonburris.ie
In addition, public exhibitions, at which Council staff will be available to answer queries in respect of the proposed Plans, will be held at the following places and times:

Submissions and observations on the Proposed SDZ Planning Scheme, Local Area Plan and Environmental Report may be made in writing only to the Council before 4.00pm on Monday 15th October 2007 and will be taken into consideration by the Council in deciding upon the Plans.
Submissions must be clearly marked Clonburris SDZ Submission or Clonburris Local Area Plan Submission and either delivered to: Paddy McNamara, Administrative Officer, Planning Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24 or sent by email to:
Only submissions received in accordance with the above timescale will be considered. Submissions cannot be accepted in any other format or to any other postal address or email address.
Note: All valid submissions received further to the original period of notice prior to 3 September, i.e. from 20th August to 2nd September 2007 inclusive, will be re-entered for consideration. This new notice has been sent together with revised page 84 of the Planning Scheme/Local Area Plan document to any party who made a submission from 20th August to 2nd September 2007 and whose submission relates to page 84 and/or the Kishoge Cross Local Area Plan neighbourhood of the Planning Scheme/Local Area Plan document.
