PROPOSED CLONBURRIS STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT ZONE (SDZ) PLANNING SCHEME AND LOCAL AREA PLAN

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 169 and Section 20 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2006 that South Dublin County Council, being the Development Agency for the Clonburris Strategic Development Zone (SDZ) and the Planning Authority for the area, has prepared a Proposed SDZ Planning Scheme and proposes to make a Local Area Plan (LAP) for lands located between Clondalkin and Lucan at Clonburris.

The Proposed Strategic Development Zone Planning Scheme and Local Area Plan will set out a framework for a sustainable new urban district at Clonburris and guide the future development of the lands at this location.  South Dublin County Council has prepared an Environmental Report in accordance with SEA Directive (2001/42/EC) and the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004. 

Copies of the Proposed Clonburris SDZ Planning Scheme, Local Area Plan, and Environmental Report will be available for inspection from 20^th August 2007 to 1^st October 2007 (inclusive) at the following locations:-

Main Foyer, County Hall, Tallaght

• 9.00am-5.00pm Monday-Thursday and 9.00am-4.30pm on Fridays

   

Main Foyer, Civic Centre, Clondalkin

• 9.00am-1.00pm and 2.00pm-4.00pm Monday-Friday

   

Lucan Library, Superquinn Shopping Centre,

• 9.45am-8.00pm Monday-Thursday and 9.45am-4.30pm Fridays and Saturdays

   

In addition, public exhibitions will be held from 23rd August 2007 to 15^th September 2007 at the following locations:

• The Mill Shopping Centre, Clondalkin

   

• The Liffey Valley Shopping Centre

   

Council staff will be available at the exhibitions to answer queries in respect of the proposed plans at the following places and times:

The proposed SDZ Planning Scheme, Local Area Plan and Environmental Report will also be available on www.clonburris.ie from 20^th August 2007. 

Submissions and observations on the Proposed SDZ Planning Scheme, Local Area Plan and Environmental Report may be made in writing only to the Council between 20^th August and 4.00pm on 1^st October 2007 and will be taken into consideration by the Council in deciding upon the Plans. 

Only submissions received by 4.00pm on Monday 1^st October 2007 and addressed as set out below will be considered.  Submissions cannot be accepted in any other format or to any other postal address or email address.

Submissions must be clearly marked “Clonburris SDZ Submission” or “Clonburris Local Area Plan Submission” and either delivered to:
