Community Awards 2007

The Mayor Eamonn Maloney on behalf of the members of South Dublin County Council officially presented a number of awards to voluntary and community groups in the Red Cow on Thursday 28^th June 2007 as part of the Annual Community Awards Celebration..

A large number of volunteers from around the county attended the awards dinner.

There was a great atmosphere as volunteers shared stories and renewed acquaintances.

The Mayor acknowledged the commitment of the community work of all those presented and thanked them for their time and effort.

Awards were made to the following organisations:

-         Arts Award Rathfarnham Theatre Group

-         Connect website St Peter the Apostle NS

-         Community Centre Quarryvale Community Centre

-         Special Award for Volunteerism Sandra Creagh

-         Special Award to Recognise community activity by the Corporate Sector Salesforce

-         Mayors Award for Voluntary Effort Teenline

-         Runner Up Community Awards St Annes GAA Club

-         Runner Up Community Awards South Dublin Special Olympics Sports Club

-         Overall Community Award 2007 Earlsfort Residents Association

-         Presentation to Caroline Hope
