On Thursday April 5th a counsellor for the Irish Kidney Association will be manning a stand in the Concourse ,South Dublin County Council Tallaght and will be available for any questions,

Ever thought about donating your organs? Lets be honest it is not something we give much thought to as to donate your organs you have to be dead and death is not something we like to spend much time thinking about.

Organ Donor Awareness week, which runs this year from March 31st to April 7th, is intended to encourage people to think about organ donation and to carry an organ donor card.

Why should I bother carrying an organ donor card? Well, in Ireland there are over 500 people on the waiting list for an organ transplant. Five hundred may not seem much in a population of over four million but if you think about it for a moment, most of these people have families, partners and friends. Their illness affects not just them but their wider circle of family and friends.

The Irish Kidney Association promotes Organ Donor Awareness Week. Picking up an organ donor card or buying a forget-me-not flower or organ donor key rings helps us to promote our campaign.

The motto of the Irish Kidney Association is be a donor. Let us seriously consider becoming a donor so that we may give others the opportunity to live life as fully as possible.
