An Chomhairle Leabharlanna third annual reader promotion campaign 5th-11th March
Readiscover/Library Ireland Week celebrates and highlights the role of libraries, librarians and information professionals across the country. Nationally we will see the coordination of a reading promotion advertising campaign which will be organised by An Chomhairle Leabharlanna
South Dublin County Libraries reader promotion campaign for the third annual Library Ireland Week is themed For the Love of Books. Visit your local library during the week of the 5th to 11th of March and READISCOVER the joys of literature and all that the 21st century library has to offer. The programme will consist of a variety of live literature events such as author visits, readings and talks and exhibitions.
On Monday 5th March, the Mayor Councillor Eamonn Maloney will launch Library Ireland Week as well as a walk guide entitled From Monastic Centre to Modern City in South Dublin County at the Institute of Technology in Tallaght at 7pm. Exhibitions of the walk guide and Library Services in Tallaght will be held in various locations throughout the week.

But if you dont want to miss Dermot Bolger in conversation with Theo Dorgan and Peter Cunningham on 6th of March at Ballyroan Library, or if you have An Hour to Kill with some top crime writers on 10th March in Lucan Library, remember that booking for these events begins on Wednesday 28th February, all events are free and all are welcome.
