Childrens traditional and contemporary street games to be documented by South Dublin County Council.

South Dublin Community Department and the Libraries Service are currently doing research for a future publication on childrens traditional and contemporary street games and other outdoor games.

We know that many of you out there will have enjoyed happy hours in the distant days of youth playing Red Rover, Beds and Hop Scotch and with your help it is our aim to bring together a collection of these games for the children of today.

Following from the very successful Play Days in the Park last Summer, it was decided to document these games before the very old ones are lost forever. Clear instructions will be given about playing the games, so that the booklet will be suitable for both adult play leaders as well as children themselves to use.
