Re: Call for proposals to the Dormant

Accounts Fund from Sports Clubs/Groups

Sports Measure for Disadvantaged

Young People

Funding is being made available to sports clubs/groups

to encourage increased participation among

disadvantaged young people in sport and physical

activity.

This funding will be provided in the form of grants

of between 500 and 10,000.

Eligible actions may include:

Proposals for the purchase of essential equipment

not currently funded under the Department of Arts,

Sports and Tourism Sports Capital Programme

Proposals for providing coach development

opportunities for young people in disadvantaged

areas.

Proposals for providing training and skills

development opportunities to encourage greater

participation by disadvantaged young people in

organisation, administration and running of sports

clubs and sporting events.

Other innovative actions which might encourage

greater participation by young people in sports.

Application forms are available from Community

Services Department, South Dublin County Council,

County Hall, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24.

Completed applications must be submitted to Sports &

Recreational Officer, Community Services Department,

South Dublin County Council, Town Hall, Tallaght,

Dublin 14 by 12 noon on Friday 16th February 2007.

Late applications will not be considered.

Along with completed application forms Clubs/Groups

must provide the following:

Group/Club Constitution

Quotes for any single capital items applied for

costing more than 3000

Income and expenditure account/treasurers report

for the most recent financial period
