NOTICE OF PROPOSED VARIATION OF

SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY DEVELOPENT PLAN 2004-2010

(VARIATION NO. 3) LANDS AT TALLAGHT WEST SWIMMING

POOL/SPORTS COMPLEX, JOBSTOWN

 

Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 13 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 2006 (as amended) that on 25th September, 2006 South Dublin County Council agreed to initiate a Variation of the South Dublin County Development Plan 2004 2010 in respect of lands at Tallaght West Swimming Pool/Sports Complex, Jobstown, Dublin 24. It is proposed to vary the South Dublin County Development Plan 2004 2010 in the following manner in order to facilitate infill housing development to provide for passive surveillance of the recreational facilities on these lands.

Proposed Zoning

It is proposed to revise the zoning of the lands from Zoning Objective F (To preserve and provide for Open Space and Recreational Amenities) to Zoning Objective A (To protect and/or improve Residential Amenity).

 

Strategic Environmental Assessment

In complying with SEA Directive (2001/42/EC) and the Planning and Development Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations 2004 South Dublin County Council has determined that a Strategic Environmental Assessment is not required.

A coy of the proposed Variation and the Screening Decision may be inspected from Tuesday 14th November, 2006 to Tuesday, 12th December, 2006 at the following locations:

  • The Planning Department, South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24: 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Friday
  • South Dublin County Council, Civic Centre, Clondalkin, Dublin 22: 10.00 a.m. to 12.45 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. Monday to Friday
  • County Library, Town Centre, Tallaght, Dublin 24: 9.45 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9.45 to 4.30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
  • Local Branch Libraries at Ballyroan, Castletymon, Whitechurch, Clondalkin and Lucan during normal opening hours for each Branch Library.
  • The Councils website www.southdublin.ie

Written submissions or observations in relation to the proposed Variation made to the Planning Authority at the address below before 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday 12th December, 2006 will be taken into consideration before the making of the Variation.
