South Dublin County Libraries Childrens Book Festival 2006
Let Yourself Go!
In Lucan Library on
Wednesday 4th October at 1pm.
Introduction
This year our programme, called Let Yourself Go! goes back to basics with an emphasis on the actual act of reading. We have a host of established and emerging authors lined up to give readings and workshops to the children of South Dublin County across our branch library network. For the final week of the Festival, in the lead up to Halloween, the emphasis of the programme will on fun and magic. For further information see www.southdublinlibraries.ie
The Festival will be launched by Mayor Eamonn Maloney in Lucan Library on Wednesday 4th October at 12.30 pm. Guest of Honour will be John Boyne author of acclaimed novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.
Entertainment will be provided by traditional Indian puppet show The Magic of India and refreshments will be served.
All are welcome at this event and no pre-booking is required
All events take place in South Dublin County Libraries except where otherwise stated. Programme leaflets are available in the branch libraries and at County Hall and Clondalkin Civic Centre.
