Mayor Eamonn Maloney, South Dublin County Council said that celebrating Halloween is one of the oldest traditions in the world. It is a tradition which children look forward to with excitement. For children it is a time of fancy-dress and trick or treat. This new festival organised by South Dublin County Tourism will be focus on family participation in the seasonal atmosphere that is Halloween and this is to be welcomed.

This is an exciting project with the potential to grow into a national and international event for South Dublin County. We would like to include other events planned in the county as part of the festival programme. These events could include anything from a fancy dress party in the local pub to a musical performance in your community centre. If you are involved in an event taking place at this time, please contact us as soon as possible. said Marguerite Osborne, Tourism Executive, South Dublin County Tourism.

A number of festival sponsorship opportunities are currently available. On behalf of the board of South Dublin County Tourism I look forward to bring you more details of festival over the next couple of months. added Marguerite Osborne.
