Certificates to Spoirt Teic Graduates
2006


On Thursday 22nd June 2006 at 6.30pm in the Headquarters of South Dublin County Council, County Hall, Tallaght, the Graduation Ceremony and Presentation of Certificates to the participants of this year’s Spoirt Teic course will take place.

Spoirt Teic is a FAS Community Training Programme sponsored by South Dublin County Council which annually provides training and qualifications in Fitness Instruction, Sports Coaching & Recreational Leadership to 18 young people from the South Dublin County Council administrative area.

The Spoirt Teic graduates will be receiving two Diploma level awards from the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC)  in Gym Instruction, Aerobic Exercise Instruction, Spinning and Step Aerobics. They will also receive IWS and FETAC Pool Lifeguard Award and a number of Sports Coaching Certificates to include Soccer, Gaelic Football, Hurling, First Aid, Rugby and Basketball from Sports National Governing Bodies and NCTC.

Some of these Graduates have already secured employment within the Health & Leisure industry and will commence employment at the end of June. Over the Summer months FAS will be recruiting for the next Spoirt Teic course, which will commence in September 2006.
