12th National Women’s Enterprise Day Event Announced
Now in its 12th year, National Women’s Enterprise Day is an annual event to support, inspire and activate female entrepreneurs across Ireland. This year, the Dublin Regional event will be hosted by the Local Enterprise Office South Dublin on behalf of the four Dublin LEOs on 18th October in the City West Hotel, Dublin.
The theme of the event is ‘From Local to Global’, encouraging international enterprise growth through building connections. The jam-packed agenda includes a variety of guest speakers including key note speaker Oonagh O’Hagan of Meaghers Pharmacy, Julie Sinnamon of Enterprise Ireland, Helen Smyth of Facebook and Chiara Keating, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Uniformal.
The programme also features an expert panel discussion facilitated by renowned TV & radio broadcaster Colette Fitzpatrick, local to global business case studies, and networking opportunities and more. Workshops will include The Importance of Professional image, by Laura Jordan of StyleSavvy and Building your leadership style, by Sinead Brady.
Amanda Mills, Senior Enterprise Development Officer, LEO South Dublin, commented, “For 12 years, National Women’s Enterprise Day has served as a forum for female business leaders to network with like-minded people and build connections that matter. This year will be no exception and we are beyond excited by the caliber of speakers, ambassadors and contributors to the programme.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to win great prizes at the event, includinga €500 Sunway voucher and a weekend in the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise.
The event takes place from 8am to 2pm and tickets cost €25.

About South Dublin County Council
South Dublin County is one of four local authority areas in the Dublin region.
South Dublin County Council provides and funds a broad range of services including housing, roads, walking and cycling routes, parks and playgrounds, libraries, sports facilities, litter control, arts centres, enterprise units, fire services, community infrastructure and financial supports. It also serves as a platform for local democracy with 40 councillors spread across six electoral areas.
Bounded by the River Liffey to the North and the Dublin Mountains to the South, the County lies 16 kilometres south west of Dublin city centre and has an administrative footprint of 223sq. kilometres. The County has nine main villages Clondalkin, Lucan, Palmerstown, Rathfarnham, Tallaght, Templeogue, Saggart, Rathcoole and Newcastle and is bounded by adjoining counties of Wicklow, Kildare, Dublin City, Fingal and Dún Laoghaire.
