Temporary Closure of Roads in South Dublin County Council’s Administrative Area

 

World Meeting of Families 2018 Phoenix Park Event

 

To facilitate the World Meeting of Families 2018 in the Phoenix Park, South Dublin County Council has made an order to temporarily close the roads listed below from 6.00am to 11.00pm on Sunday 26th August 2018:-

 

  • JFK Drive from junction with JFK Avenue to Camac Park.

 

  • JFK Road from junction with Bluebell Avenue to Killeen Road.

 

  • JFK Avenue from junction with JFK Road to Old Naas Road.

 

  • Bluebell Avenue from junction with JFK Road to County Boundary.

     

  • Grand Canal to New Nangor Road.

     

  • Lower Lucan Road from junction with Knockmaroon Hill to Lucan Bridge via Strawberry Beds.

     

These will be intermittent Garda controlled road closures and restricted parking, as necessary, to facilitate safe passage of people and public transport to and from the Phoenix Park.

      Local access will be maintained.

     Detour signs will be erected.
